HIBBETT SPORTING GOODS, INC. OPENS IN GRUNDY, VA
BIRMINGHAM, Ala. (October 28, 2011) – National sporting goods retailer HibbettSporting Goods, Inc. operating as Hibbett Sports has opened its newest store in Grundy,Virginia. The new store opened at 1147 Riverview Street in Grundy Town Center on Friday, October 28 and will employ approximately eight full and part-time team members.
Announcing the opening, Jeff Rosenthal, President and CEO of Hibbett Sporting Goods,Inc. said, “This convenient new location is a win-win for our company and the Grundycommunity. With theaddition of the Grundy location, the company has 17 stores open in Virginia. Of thosestores, Martinsville was the first to open in 1996. The Grundy location joins a growingnumber of Hibbett Sports stores in western Virginia, including stores in Norton, CedarBluff and Bristol.
