Sneakers Release – adidas ZX 8000 LEGO Multicolor Men’s Shoe

Everyone loves LEGOs! What’s better than building a tower as tall as you out of multicolor blocks? We can think of only one thing: LEGOs adidas sneakers! That’s right, the Three-Stripes brand partnered with LEGO in September 2020 for a hot, limited edition release of the adidas x LEGO ZX 8000.

Well the next wave of adidas x LEGO creative collaboration is here! A new LEGO x adidas ZX 8000 collection is dropping May 7 in six different hues, all in men’s sizes: royal blue, yellow, red (releases 6/4/21), black, grey and green.

As you may have guessed, these colorways represent the six colors LEGO’s classic bricks come in, but instead of building a spaceship, you’ll be building up your collection of kicks when you cop these hot launches.

Each monochromatic shade features a familiar mesh upper interrupted only by the grey and yellow Three Stripes along the middle. A bright red LEGO tongue tag instantly calls back memories of childhood.

The LEGO touches don’t end there. You’ll notice the eyelets and lace guard have been tweaked from traditional ZX 8000 lace elements to resemble LEGO bricks. Even the styling around the heel is meant to imitate the bumpy surface of a LEGO block.

The original adidas ZX 8000 dropped back in 1988 as the first shoe to use Torsion system technology. That tech’s still employed in today’s rendition to provide you with a stabilizing fit as you work toward your PR. Plus, the rubber outsole helps you maintain grip whether you’re navigating hardwood or a room filled with LEGOs.

These shoes are just the tip of the iceberg for adidas and LEGO, who signed a multi-year contract. The goal of both parties? To create colorful and inventive styles that let your imagination run wild, all while staying true to the power of sports. If the ZX 8000 is any indication, we’d say they’re doing a good job with that.
