When MJ retired from basketball in 1993 to play professional baseball, millions of NBA fans across America started dreaming of championship trophies for their hometowns. While Houston Rockets fans took advantage of MJ’s absence and won back-to-back NBA championships in the ’93–’94 and ’94–’95 seasons, Nike was at a crossroads.
The Air Jordan 10 was the second shoe Nike released during Michael Jordan’s first retirement. Though legendary designer Tinker Hatfield maintained his streak of producing fresh-to-death kicks, Nike increased AJ’s national presence with these legendary sneakers.
This latest AJ 10 comes in a White and Volt colorway and features a Phylon midsole with full-length Air-Sole unit for lightweight cushioning. The Dynamic Fit sleeve provides all-day comfort, while the shoe’s cutting-edge technology helps to maintain its durability.
