Sneakers Release – Nike Dunk High SE “First Use” University Red/Sail Men’s Shoe Out 7/31

Jul 19, 2021

The Nike Dunk High releases continue this summer to honor the shoe’s 36th birthday. We’ve already seen a ton of colorways hit shelves, and the brand isn’t done yet.

A classic silhouette is landing in stores July 31 as part of Nike’s “First Use” collection. The Nike Dunk High “First Use” colorway in men’s sizes features a University Red and Sail combo.

The “First Use” is a celebratory release marking the 50th anniversary of the use of the Swoosh logo. That’s right—the first time a Swoosh appeared on Nike shoes was back on June 18, 1971. To drive this point home, that date is printed on the side of the shoe with the words “First use” right underneath the outlined Swoosh.

The rest of the shoe simmers in a warm University Red, including the leather upper and suede overlays. A white midsole, half-white laces and white tongue branding all add a pop of color. And don’t forget about the metallic gold Swoosh lace lock.

By now, you probably know how the original Dunk Highs were created to celebrate the 40th anniversary of the slam dunk. Nowadays, the high collar and foam midsole make them a great choice for skateboarders or streetwear aficionados looking for comfort.

If you’re feeling fiery, this colorway has a lot to offer. Grab the Nike Dunk High “First Use” style in University Red and Sail in men’s sizes starting July 31 online or at your local Hibbett | City Gear.
