Read MoreAir Jordan 1 Lows are the chill little sibling of the iconic high top basketball shoe that revolutionized the sneaker game back in '85. These low top kicks offer a sleek silhouette that's perfect for everyday wear, while still carrying that legendary Jordan heritage.
Sure, these sneakers look cool, but they're comfortable, too, with plenty of cushioning to keep your feet feeling good. Plus, their low top design means you have more freedom of movement, making them perfect for everything from running errands to showing off your moves.
The Air Jordan 1 Low comes in a variety of colors and styles, so whether you're into classic black and red or something a little bolder, you'll find a pair that expresses your style. And the best part? They're not just for adults. You can find a pair for everyone, from the youngest sneakerheads to the most dedicated collectors. Shop Hibbett online or in-store today for AJ 1 Low styles of men, women and kids.
Michael Jordan himself didn’t isolate his iconic sneaks to the basketball court, and you shouldn’t either. Whether you’re aiming for a unique retro look or you simply want something comfortable for work or play, connect with the low top Air Jordan 1s. Find the Air Jordan 1 low tops in a range of men’s and kids’ sizes, styles and colorways at Hibbett.
Supplying an uptown vibe on one of Nike’s most legendary shoes, the Air Jordan 1 low tops feature full-grain leather and suede along the upper with a large Wings logo stitched in and wrapping around the back of the shoe. Suede also accents the heel and tongue to add a superior element to the timeless silhouette.
Nike doesn’t sacrifice style for comfort. Like the OG Air Jordan 1s, these sneaks also feature an Air-Sole or Zoom Air unit in the heel to create a double cushioning layer and provide optimal support. A softly padded low cut collar delivers comfort around the ankle.
Nike designer Peter Moore is the mastermind behind the famous OG Air Jordans that His Airness, Michael Jordan, debuted in 1984. MJ first stepped on the court in a pair of Nike Air Ships, which is where Moore drew his inspiration and built the edgier, more modern AJ 1 sneaker to accompany its legendary wearer’s gravity-defying, on-court abilities.
Nike Air Ships' single appearance on the court paved the way for their Air Jordan descendants. The NBA banned Nike Air Ships after their black and red “Bred” colorway violated its dress code. But that only added more fuel to Nike’s already-blazing fire. Soon after, the OG Air Jordans took the court. Then, Nike released additional colorways, such as “Carolina Blue” and “Chicago,” to pay homage to the basketball superstar. A few years after their debut, everybody from movie stars to everyday wearers were sporting these kicks.
There’s actually a funny story behind this, though. Michael Jordan wasn’t originally interested in partnering with Nike. He had envisioned Converse or adidas as his sponsor, but when Nike tossed a $500,000 annual endorsement deal in front of him, Jordan couldn’t refuse. The rest, as they say, is history.
Three decades later, the iconic Air Jordans live on with more than a dozen models and countless colorways that send sneakerheads scurrying to the stores at the mention of new releases. Air Jordans continue to reign as one of the most recognizable sneaker brands in the world.
The Nike Air Jordan low tops are stepping into this long-standing sneaker story. Though they’re more often seen on the streets than the court, they still have His Airness’ seal of approval. Pick up a pair of low top Air Jordan 1s today at any Hibbett location, or order a pair online.
