Since Aug. 24 was Kobe Bryant Day, we decided to celebrate Black Mamba by lining up some of the best Kobe Bryant outfits. Whether it was his crafty footwork on the court or his suave suits when striding through the arena tunnel, there’s no denying that Kobe Bean Bryant (yes, Bean was his middle name) was an NBA fashion innovator, looking effortlessly cool both on and off the hardwood with his iconic Kobe Bryant fashion.

Here are a few of the best Kobe Bryant styles, plus some inspo on how to recreate these timeless Mamba looks for yourself.

An Icon in Icon’s Clothing

Throughout the 2002 NBA Finals, Kobe sported a variety of jerseys. None, however, garnered as much attention as the white Chicago Bulls jersey with Jordan’s moniker and number, layered over a red short-sleeved shirt.

Top Gun

What’s cooler than a black jacket, slightly baggy dark pants, a black tee and a pair of aviators? Black Mamba rocking the ensemble, that’s what. We’d happily have been the Goose to his Maverick. You can still channel a similar vibe with a pair of classic Ray-Ban aviators, black Smoke Rise jeans and black Air Force 1s.

Suit & Tie

There’s no denying Kobe looked good in a suit. Case in point: A 2012 red carpet appearance in a blue fitted suit with a black shirt and tie, along with a classic watch. Pair a well-tailored suit with Cole Haan dress shoes and a stylish timekeeper. And just like Kobe, there’s no reason you can’t rock a Lakers hat while wearing a suit.

Cool But Casual

During the 2003 Teen Choice Awards, Bean decided to dial it back a notch from his standard snazzy threads. Instead, he opted for a pair of loose-fitting jeans and a tee immortalizing another iconic athlete — Mohammad Ali. To mimic Kobe’s laid-back look, slip into some men’s jeans complemented by a men’s NBA graphic tee showcasing your favorite legend.

Street Styling

During a 2005 matchup against the Trail Blazers, Kobe strode the sidelines, looking sharp in a white button-up shirt layered under a sweater with an oversized suit jacket and jeans to wrap up his ensemble. Recreate the look with a pair of men’s dark-wash jeans and white low top Nikes.

Hyper Dunk!

In ’08, while repping Team USA, Kobe popped on a pair of Nike Hyperdunks to literally launch himself over an Aston Martin for a Hyperdunk ad.
