Following his pro-ball career Marcus saw the desperate need for representation and media coverage in women’s basketball. In 2014 he started his first of many successful companies, Hoop Cred, the first marketing agency specifically focused for WNBA players. In 2016, he created She Hoops Network via Instagram by utilizing visuals from all over the internet to bring exposure to thousands of talented female hoopers across all ages and skill levels. In only two years of launching the company he was able to sell the business to media power house Overtime which is funded by Amazon's own Jeff Bezos, Superstar Drake and NBA super star Kevin Durant.
