The Trae Young 1 version looks as big and bold as Trae does on the court. The textile upper is a dreamy mix of dark green, teal and black shades in a sort of tie-dye pattern. A dark green lace tab adds a solid feel, while the black lockdown strap prevents your laces from escaping during a full-court press. Hot pink and yellow fabric grommets hold the dark green laces in place in lieu of traditional eyestays.
Also on the tongue is a green tab featuring a golden logo. This matches the heel tab, which instead has "Adidas Basketball, Rayford Trae Young, Signature Series" printed in golden lettering on one side and Trae's signature on the other.
A dark green midsole waves across the bottom of the shoe. This sits above the grippy rubber outsole, which bends up the sides of the shoe for amazing side-to-side traction. You'll see bright orange at the toe, pink at the midfoot and blue and white at the heel.
While we don't have a glimpse of the Trae Young 3 colorway yet, we can imagine it will likely use the same color scheme in slightly different arrangements. The Trae Young 3 includes the addition of Trae's new signature logo, as well as a midsole that almost resembles a terrain map with its topographic designs. The Three Stripes are also more prominent on the side panel.
Both of these basketball shoes would look best with your game-day gear, as they're crafted for the modern athlete. We're thinking black crew socks, black basketball shorts and your team's jersey should do the trick.
The adidas Trae Young 1 and adidas Trae Young 3 in Dark Green, Gold Metallic and black will set your game on fire. Grab the Trae Young 1 in men's sizes and the Trae Young 3 in grade school kids' sizes starting September 1, online and at your local Hibbett | City Gear.
It's quite possible this one will sell out fast. If it's no longer available, the only thing we can suggest is following our sneaker launch calendar to stay up-to-date with all of Trae's latest releases so you never miss out.
