Classic Performance, Remixed for Culture
Since its first release in 1995, the famous Air Max 95 silhouette has been defined by its layered upper — the focal point of colorways ranging from neutral and minimalist to loud and proud. Designer Sergio Lozano took inspiration from human anatomy for this retro-chic shoe. His intention was for the laces to be the “ribs,” the outsole to be the “spine” and the material of the upper to be connective muscle fiber. Whether you see the designer’s intention or not, the result was a standout running shoe silhouette.
The Air Max 95’s unforgettable look is a big part of the reason why it made the transition from running gear to lifestyle sneaker. It’s also a very comfortable ride, with the brand’s signature air-filled pouches. Visible Air Max units in the sole speak to the shoe’s responsive cushioning, and it scores high for durability and breathability.
The limited edition AM95 HBCU Pack is expected to release in full-family unisex sizing, from grade-school to men’s sizes. Check out the Hibbett unisex footwear sizing guide to find the right fit for you.
This release continues the House of Swoosh’s tradition of paying tribute to the cultural impact of America’s HBCUs, while also innovating new and reimagined colorways for the most popular Nike sneakers and apparel.
