At first glance, you'll notice this shoe is mostly a two-toned design. A mix of white leather and gray suede overlays cover the upper. Smooth white leather covers the ventilated vamp and side panels, while the soft-looking suede wraps around the toe, ankle and heel. The standard Swoosh on each side is also made of gray suede.
White laces match the brightness of the white leather. However, the canvas tongue itself is an off-gray tone with a black patch featuring red Nike Air branding. You'll see this same light gray — this time in suede — around the collar. Beneath this, on the dark gray suede ankle wrap, is the original Air Jordan Wings logo printed in off-white.
The shoe sits on a classic Sail midsole, which is stitched in place with monochromatic thread. It's mated to a black rubber outsole with the typical pivot circle traction pattern on the forefoot.
While they used to be basketball kicks, today, the AJ1s are best suited for casual wear. Lace them up with matching gray socks and tapered black jeans or sweatpants to stay cool and collected no matter the scenario.
The Jordan 1 Retro High OG "Washed Heritage" takes us all back to the roots of sneaker culture, when His Airness smashing NBA record after record was just a usual occurrence.
