Black is the name of the game here. It covers the majority of the nubuck upper, including the midfoot overlays, tongue, laces and heel tab. However, there are plenty of purple and aqua accents to keep you on your toes, such as the embroidered purple Jumpman mid-tongue and the purple Jumpman on the black lace toggle. There's also a purple accent on the heel tab and around the midsole.
Aqua comes into play on the midsole, wrapping around the Air unit in the heel and at the forefoot. True fans will also note the insole design — an aqua Jumpman resting on a solid purple background.
Branding on this Tinker Hatfield design pops quite well, with Air Jordan lettering printed on the cutout tongue tab. This motif repeats on the heel, which includes an embroidered Jumpman above the word "Air." The black-on-black design almost looks lux.
Finally, the outsole has an MJ touch as well. There's a big purple Jumpman embedded in the black rubber. It's surrounded by jagged translucent grip patches to help you maintain traction in daily life.
These former basketball shoes aren't meant for the court these days. Instead, we'd recommend wearing them with dark wash tapered jeans and a T-shirt that blends well with purple or aqua tones. Finish it off with a black jacket, and you'll be ready for a cool fall day.
