Dr. Dre, Wu-Tang Clan, Lauryn, Missy, Tupac, Snoop, Ye, Kendrick Lamar and Run DMC. Over the past half-century, hip-hop has grown up. This year marks the 50th anniversary of the genre, and Nike is here to help celebrate with three sneaker silhouettes, each featuring a “Classics” colorway, a tongue tag inspired by parental advisory graphics, insoles featuring a cassette tape and a metallic microphone charm attached to the laces.
Beginning June 1, sneakerheads and hip-hop lovers alike can get their hands on a pair of sneakers from the “Classics” pack, which includes Air Force 1s, Nike Blazer Mid ’77 and Nike Dunk Highs. Each shoe will be available in men’s sizes.
