Nike LeBron NXXT Gen "Metabron" Launching 08/01 Colorway: TRACK RED/BLACK/TEAL NEBULA Style: Men's Shoe

The Nike Lebron NXXT Gen "Metabron" drops in men's sizes August 1 at Hibbett | City Gear.

Sizzling summertime temps call for basketball shoes that can handle the heat. LeBron James more than delivers with the latest from his signature lineup with his newest sneaker launch. 

Dropping August 1 in men’s sizes, the Nike LeBron NXXT Gen makes its move in a “Track Red” colorway that skillfully blends the titular hue with Laser Blue and Teal Nebula.

Similar in makeup to the previously released LeBron 19 “King’s Crown,” the “Track Red” basketball shoe features a fiery lace-like mesh upper. The mesh’s open-hole weave is at once lightweight and durable, so you can keep your cool even during the most sweltering of plays. 

The lateral side of the NXXT Gen sneaker includes a black tumbled leather Swoosh outlined in purple stitching. A smaller TPU Swoosh appears in Laser Blue just below. 

The contrasting medial side features a large swath of Teal Nebula leather with a Laser Blue Swoosh outlined in the same purple stitching, and both sides connect at the teal heel tab, with its red TPU “XXs.” 

The shoe’s tongue includes both a Nike “LBJ” tag and James’ signature set against the Track Red backdrop. Silky neoprene purple outlines the top of the tongue, while red circles the shoe’s collar, and a plush teal sockliner cradles the foot in comfort. An off-white foam midsole speckled with black flecks contains a forefoot Air Zoom unit curved to allow for responsive cornering and a flexible court feel. A top-loaded Zoom Air unit in the heel also contributes to the shoe’s cushioning. 

The teal rubber outsole, meanwhile, features a dizzying pattern of Akron, Ohio’s streets, a nod to LeBron’s hometown roots, with an “X” marking the midfoot.
