He’s No. 45 with the Utah Jazz, a point guard and has creativity in spades. A fresh year calls for a uniquely creative new shoe from Donovan Mitchell and adidas.
Help your kids usher in bright new beginnings when you connect them with the lastest adidas D.O.N. Issue #2 colorway — a mix of white and hits of black, red, green, yellow and blue — launching in preschool and grade school boys’ sizes on January 1.
While previous releases of Donovan Mitchell’s second sneaker collection featured mesh overlays with plenty of cartoon-style zig-zagging details, this particular edition stands out for a distinct reason: The sneaker’s white mesh is covered by synthetic white overlays with black, drawn-on graphics.
This coloring page approach includes musical notes, star shapes and smiley faces, as well as Mitchell’s “Spida” logo and basketballs and baseballs — all inviting the wearers to customize their sneakers. Color inside the lines, or scribble outside the lines. Creativity knows no bounds.
The all-white and black upper gives way to a crayon-style outsole, a colorful combination of primary and secondary hues that saturate the webbed traction pattern. The outsole’s colors peek out of the shoe’s sides, including the red rubber that reinforces the medial side of the foot, which features Mitchell’s “Determination Over Negativity” mantra.
Multicolored zig-zag stitching on the toe box’s medial side contributes to the durability of this high-wear area. A white adidas Bounce midsole gives any kid a soft, springy place to land as they run, jump and play. You’ll find the usual adidas Three Stripes branding, along with Mitchell’s logo, integrated throughout the shoe.
Let your kids’ creative juices flow forth with the newest sneaker from Donavan Mitchell x adidas. With some markers or paints, your budding baller or future Piccasso can demonstrate their creativity with the “White/Red/Blue” adidas D.O.N. Issue #2 kids’ basketball shoe dropping in preschool and grade school boys’ sizes January 1 at Hibbett | City Gear.
