Many saw center Shaquille O’Neal as a superhero on the court, leading to his nickname of Superman. It’s fitting, then, that he’s about to team up with Mr. Clark Kent himself for a collab that’s out of this world.

The Reebok Shaq Attaq “Superman” basketball shoe celebrates the DC Comics hero and is meant to represent his moment of transformation from an ordinary dude to an all-power alien hero. The Alloy, Brave Blue and Rich Magma colorway is dropping on December 2 in men’s sizes.

A grey premium nubuck leather covers most of the upper, with some darker grey overlays across the middle and eyestays. These are in swooping shapes to mimic soaring through the air.

You’ll notice Superman’s™ famous trio of colors — red, blue and yellow — in accents throughout. A blue mesh panel across the middle features two pale yellow lines running through it. Then, two red mesh panels at the side heel have the same yellow streak flashing through them.

Beneath this, on the back of the heel, are some embroidered logos. You’ll see SHAQ in red on the right shoe, but on the left, there’s The Man of Steel imagery. This isn’t the only spot that pays tribute to our favorite kryptonite-fearing hero. There’s also a large Superman™ emblem on the tongue pump, complete with a DC tongue tag just beneath.

The grey midsole features a couple of darker grey shapes as accents. Underneath that, the grey outsole includes a graphite plate with a chevron design, so you can keep your traction whether you’re fighting big bads or chilling with the boys.

While you probably wouldn’t wear these on the court today, you can still wear them during your daily adventures. Pair them with fitted jeans and a button-up to channel Clark Kent before he dons his red and blue suit.
