Hibbett x Nike Celebrate Gymnastics Greatness with Skye Blakely

On August 18th, Hibbett teamed up with Nike and Brown Girls Do Gymnastics (BGDG) to host an unforgettable day at the Cobb County Gymnastics Center—with none other than World Champion Skye Blakely leading the way.

Forty young gymnasts from BGDG spent the day rotating through beam, floor, vault, trampoline, and bars—where Skye herself coached them on her favorite event, the uneven bars. Between rotations, the girls enjoyed “girl talk” with Skye, created dream canvases (vision boards), and “shopped” Skye’s personal picks at the Skye Mart, filled with her go-to beauty and self-care products.

The experience didn’t stop there, each gymnast left with a pair of Nike Muse sneakers, a personalized bag, Beats headphones, Nike swoosh jewelry, and scrunchies.

As part of the event, Hibbett and Nike also donated $25,000 to BGDG, an organization founded by Derrin Moore that’s breaking barriers and creating opportunities for young women of color in gymnastics and circus arts.

Blakely, a two-time World Champion and U.S. National medalist, has overcome injuries to return stronger than ever, with her sights set on the 2028 Olympics. Her story of resilience and excellence made her the perfect role model for the next generation.

This day wasn’t just about gymnastics, it was about confidence, empowerment, and showing every girl in the gym that she belongs.
