Features of the adidas NMD
First introduced in 2015, the adidas NMD_R1 pairs a streamlined Primeknit upper with adidas’ patented Boost technology. This Boost midsole comprises thousands of foam pellets that deliver high energy return and even higher levels of comfort for all your urban exploration. A “burrito” tongue contributes to a snug fit, while strategically placed block-style anti-shock plugs both support the Boost midsole and ensure longevity.
Rather than making the adidas Three Stripes stand out, Galway skillfully incorporated them into the schema of the Primeknit upper, offering a sophisticated, monochromatic palette. Subsequent releases, like the adidas NMD_R1 and the NMD_R1 V3, retained all the elements of the original, spinning off with brighter colors and features like heel pull tabs. The NMD_G1 is an even more eco-friendly take on the original shoe. Made with a series of recycled materials, the sneaker’s upper features at least 50% recycled content.
