Our Store Employees go through a five-part training program which uses written manuals, detailed videos and actual on-the-job experience. Count on additional training through vendor clinics and our own Hibbett University program. Store Managers and District Managers give feedback on employee progress as well as provide tips on ways to improve performance. We also encourage input from everyone on our team to help us continue to grow and improve.

The Sr. Programmer Analyst is responsible for performing technical analysis, system application support, and software development for Hibbett Sports. This includes working with business owners and Solutions Analysts to plan and execute the implementation of new applications, application enhancements, and issue resolution. This position will review requirements, approve technical specifications, and perform testing and QA. This position requires a mastery of the business portfolio of all areas and systems supported. In addition, the Sr. Programmer Analyst must possess expert skills in problem solving, process definition, and analytical capabilities.
Must have a Bachelors degree in Computer Science or equivalent field experience. 7+ years experience in development in AS400 environment with RPG and CL language.
|Senior Business / Solutions Analyst - Merchandise Management System (JDA)Corporate|
This position is a direct report to the IT Solution Manager and will work with IT management, the development staff, system administrators, and systems analysts to apply professional principles, practices and techniques to lead solution analysts in delivering solutions within scope and cost, based on thorough requirements gathering, work estimation, and quality assurance testing.
The Senior Solution Analyst (SSA) is chartered with establishing priorities while balancing support and project deliverables. The SSA will be hands-on and thoroughly involved in the solution and project delivery, which includes constant review and adherence to plans, budgets, scope, and charters. It is imperative for this person to have strong communication skills, strong collaboration skills, and a good understanding of a standard IT industry practices.
This position is a senior member responsible for team leadership. The individual will be forward looking and able to anticipate risks and needs and able to quickly consider impact, and decide how best to utilize departmental resources in a creative, cost effective manner. This involves selecting and recommending mitigation strategies that meet business needs.
We are seeking a leader who has had hands-on experience with all aspects of the JDA merchandise system suite, particularly the following systems: merchandise management system (MMS), enterprise planning (EP), retail ideas (RI), advanced warehouse replenishment (AWR), advanced store replenishment (ASR), and markdown optimization (MDO). Any Business Intelligence experienced is a plus, specifically related to MircoStrategy and QuantiSense. The ideal candidate will have a wide range of experience – from project inception to delivery to day-to-day support. This individual will supervise and mentor 1-4 solution analysts, managing 1-4 JDA merchandise systems and support areas.
EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE: 5+ years’ experience in merchandise systems, specifically the JDA suite of merchandise systems, including MMS, EP, MDO, ASR, and AWR (MicroStrategy and QuantiSense business intelligence experienced is a plus). 4 year college degree preferred or similar experience. Expert skills in problem solving, process definition, taking initiative, and analysis. Mastery of the JDA suite of merchandise systems as mentioned previously. Demonstrated leadership skills
