The Drop That Changed the Game

As PUMA’s creative director and global ambassador in 2015, Riri redefined the brand’s legacy, introducing fashion-forward looks designed for young women. 



The PUMA x Fenty Creeper shoe elevated the classic PUMA Suede kick (literally) with a platform heel and set the sneaker world on fire. It perfectly fused punk and hip-hop subcultures, meshing athletic designs with runway vibes. It was familiar and futuristic, delivering a PUMA shoe people already knew while spinning it into something completely modern. 



Its timeless look is rooted in high-end fashion, comfortable streetwear and edgy music culture. Over the last decade, the daring style has remained a beloved favorite.

What’s Next — And What’s Dropped So Far

Rihanna kept us all hooked, dropping more PUMA-Fenty collabs in 2016 and 2018. But as she shifted her focus toward her other businesses, including Fenty Beauty and sultry Savage x Fenty, the PUMA drops paused. 



Fans eagerly awaited the next shoe, but Riri was busy becoming a mom. After having her second child in August 2023, she led the rebirth of the PUMA Avanti sneakers, with the “Dark Myrtle” and “Club Navy” colorways. The Avanti Stitched Pack dropped the following year in October, adding more texture and luxury to the style.



Now, Fenty x PUMA is back. January 2025 welcomed a limited-edition Avanti LS in the “Team Royal Creamy Vanilla” colorway. Next came the Avanti LS PUMAs in “Slime Green” and “Lemon Yellow” in March. Plus, we got the Cat Cleat Jelly Sandal, all inspired by Rihanna’s roots in colorful Barbados.



She didn’t stop there. In August, she released the Cat Cleat Slide, Pale Plum PUMA x Fenty Avanti sneakers and Black/Tan PUMA x Fenty Avanti sneakers.



Just in time for this Halloween, the Fenty x PUMA shop welcomed the bold Lime Green/Black and Metallic Silver/Orange/Blue LS-X colorways. Riri also introduced the Cat Cleat Slide in a kitten-heel style, available in a fuzzy black version and metallic silver color.



What’s next? With Rihanna, we never know. She could put PUMA on pause for another five years, or ring in the new year with another drop. 



What we do know is that you should never sleep on her Fenty x PUMA releases. Most are limited-edition, so this might be your only chance to snag them!
