Back-to-school season is one of the biggest style moments of the year. From first-day fits to everyday essentials, kids are looking for sneakers, backpacks and apparel that help them stand out while staying comfortable.
Wondering what's trending for the new school year? From classic sneaker staples to fashion-forward accessories, here's what's making the grade in 2026.
Nike Air Force 1s Are Still a Must-Have
The Nike Air Force 1 remains one of the most popular back-to-school shoes year after year. Whether it's the iconic all-white look or all-black styles that work perfectly with school uniforms, AF1s continue to deliver the versatility and timeless style kids love.
Easy to dress up or down, they're a go-to option for everything from the first day of class to weekend plans.
adidas Mary Janes Are Having a Major Moment
One of the biggest footwear trends this year is the adidas Mary Jane. Combining athletic heritage with a fashion-forward silhouette, this style has become a favorite among students looking for something fresh and different.
It's one of those rare sneakers that feels trendy while remaining easy to wear every day.
Retro Running Shoes Continue to Rise
Throwback-inspired runners are everywhere right now, and the Saucony Omni 9 is leading the charge. With retro styling and modern comfort, these sneakers bring a unique look to the hallways while staying comfortable through long school days.
Vans Remain a Classic
Some trends come and go, but Vans continue to be a back-to-school staple. Their laid-back design and versatility make them an easy choice for students who want a sneaker that works with practically everything in their closet.
Sprayground Backpacks Continue to Lead
Backpacks have become just as important as sneakers when it comes to first-day style.
Sprayground remains one of the most sought-after backpack brands thanks to its bold graphics, standout designs and collectible appeal. For kids who want to make a statement before they even step into the classroom, Sprayground delivers a mix of personality and practicality that's hard to ignore.
Matching Sets Make Getting Dressed Easy
Coordinated outfits continue to be one of the easiest ways to create a complete look. Matching apparel sets from brands like Smoke Rise give students a polished, put-together fit without overthinking it.
They're stylish, versatile and perfect for busy school mornings.
Sports Lifestyle Continues to Drive Fashion
Athletes have become some of today's biggest style influencers, and that impact can be seen everywhere. From basketball-inspired looks to tunnel-fit energy, sports continue to shape how kids dress both on and off the court.
