Kicking Off Black History Month, Hibbett Sponsors Legacy Fest

Feb 3, 2025

Hibbett kicked off Black History Month celebrations as a title sponsor for this year’s Legacy Fest event, held on February 1 in Atlanta.

Legacy Fest is an HBCU alumni event that strives to empower, uplift and inspire community members through music, faith, culture and connection. This year’s event, sponsored by Hibbett, was a vibrant celebration of Black history, culture, and community – bringing exciting experiences to our customers in the Atlanta area by way of live music, more than 50 local vendors, and fellowship.

Headlining Legacy Fest 2025 was the Aflac HBCU Alumni Legacy Band in their debut performance. Other performances throughout the 1-day festival included numbers by the Atlanta Drum Academy, local choirs and high school bands, beats by DJ Nutty and more.

Festivities culminated in a grand finale concert by award-winning gospel artist Jekalyn Carr, and talented singers Jordan Welch and Antonio Cunningham.

Hibbett was on hand to add to the excitement, giving away gift cards and gift bags throughout the day. Festival-goers had the chance to win big and snag some cool Hibbett swag. Participation in Legacy Fest reinforces Hibbett’s mission to bring exciting experiences to our customers and giving back to the communities we serve.
