Dec 23, 2024

On December 16, Hibbett and PUMA representatives visited Children’s of Alabama in Birmingham, one of the largest pediatric medical centers in the country, to present a $20,000 financial gift and more than 1,300 items to support the hospital's Sugar Plum shop and Care Closet this holiday season.

For the fifth consecutive year, Hibbett and PUMA have joined forces to support Children's of Alabama during the holiday season. This year's contribution included a $20,000 donation and over 1,300 items such as PUMA apparel, footwear, fidget toys, and other small items.

This ongoing partnership reflects the shared commitment of Hibbett and PUMA to making a positive impact on the lives of children and families in need. Children's of Alabama provides vital care to countless young patients, and the companies are honored to support their incredible work.

"We are deeply honored to join forces with PUMA once again and support the incredible work of Children's of Alabama," said Sarah Sharp-Wangaard, VP of Marketing at Hibbett. "Their unwavering dedication to providing compassionate care to children and their families is truly inspiring."

The generous donation will directly support several vital programs at Children's, including:

  • The Care Closet: This program provides essential items like toiletries, clothing, and footwear to families facing unexpected medical emergencies, offering support during a challenging time.
  • The Sugar Plum Shop: The Sugar Plum Shop brings holiday cheer to young patients by providing gifts during the festive season, bringing a touch of joy to their hospital stay.
  • The Children's Hospital Intervention and Prevention Services (CHIPS Center): This center provides vital counseling and support services to children and families impacted by child abuse and neglect.

At Hibbett, we believe in giving back to the communities we serve. We are grateful for the opportunity to partner with PUMA and make a meaningful difference in the lives of children and families at Children's of Alabama.
