adidas Anthony Edwards 1 "3SSB" Launching 04/12 Colorway: BLACK/RED Style: Kids' Basketball Shoe

Release Date: April 12, 2025

Apr 7, 2025

Anthony Edwards is on fire. From earning his third NBA All-Star nod to snagging Olympic gold, the Timberwolves shooting guard is everywhere — and so is his first signature sneaker. The adidas AE 1 has been making waves all year, and now, one of its sickest PEs is finally dropping for the public.

On April 12, the adidas Anthony Edwards 1 Low "3SSB" is hitting shelves, bringing a fresh, low-cut vibe to the Three Stripes Select Basketball (3SSB) circuit’s exclusive colorway. Originally a nod to Atlanta’s deep hoops culture, this pair is all about flashy details and elite performance with vibrant shades of Cloud White, Acid Orange and Bliss Pink.

The shift from high-top to low doesn’t mean sacrificing style or performance. The AE 1 Low “3SSB” keeps the signature tie-dye Primeblue upper, but the pastel palette softens the look. The main trio of colors blend seamlessly to create a rainbow gradient effect that feels both dynamic and effortless. Even the laces and tongue get in on the tie-dye fun, though the white eyelets keep the colors from getting overwhelming.

The TPU honeycomb support wing — one of the AE 1’s defining elements — stays intact, this time in a marbled pink and orange finish that adds depth to the design. Lead designer Patrick Zempolich used a parametric pattern here to create a speed visual as a nod to Ant’s multidirectional, blurred play. It offers full-length lockdown containment to protect your foot in a full 360 degrees.

White Three Stripes branding and a tonal pink heel counter keep things clean. Pink tongue and heel tabs bearing the Ant-Man’s logo clash beautifully with the pale green ankle padding. Inside the shoe is a similarly cool-toned insole, also adorned with Edwards’ logo — a series of five ridges meant to mimic his jersey number — in white.

Beyond its striking look, this sneaker is built to perform. The Lightboost midsole delivers exceptional cushioning and energy return, keeping players quick on their feet. A durable, translucent white rubber outsole ensures maximum grip for explosive moves, making it just as ready for the court as it is for the streets.

Edwards first rocked the original high-top version of the AE 1 “3SSB” PE in April 2024, just as the Timberwolves were gearing up for the playoffs. It was off limits to the public until it was gifted to attendees of the 3SSB camp. Finally, we’re seeing this style hit stores for everyone.

The AE 1 is continuing to dominate sneaker discussions, with the low-top version becoming a major focus for adidas Basketball in 2024 and beyond. Whether you’re hooping or just adding to your rotation, this release brings the perfect mix of heritage and modern flair.

The adidas AE 1 Low “3SSB” lands on April 12 in men’s and grade school kids’ sizes. Don’t miss your shot — secure your pair online or at your local Hibbett or City Gear store.
