The adidas Trae Young 3 "Core Black" men's and kids' shoes drop August 3 at Hibbett | City Gear.

Trae Young’s star has been on the rise for some time now, and his crowd-pleasing passion and expressive playing style resonate with fans of the 24-year-old Hawks point guard. 

His latest sneaker iteration comes expressly built for his futuristic style of play and his superstar status. Set to drop Aug. 3, the new adidas Trae Young 3 basketball shoes will debut in a “Core Black” colorway that blends black with shades of pink and orange. The adidas basketball shoes feature a Core Black breathable mesh Futurenatural upper. Originally introduced via James Harden’s fifth sneaker silhouette, adidas’ Futurenatural technology forms a unique fit that allows you to move without restrictions — all while maintaining grip, balance, speed and control. The upper also provides zonal ventilation, giving players large and small the ability to push through tough games. The Three Stripes lands in black along the quarter panels, with black laces and tongue. The Core Black mesh upper features a pixelated, digitized-style pattern that adds to the futuristic feel, and hot pink loops form the lacing system. 

But the innovation doesn’t end there. The most prominent feature of the Trae Young 3 shoes is its lightweight midsole. Boost and Lightstrike join forces to create this cushioning system, which takes on a topographical-map-like pattern in a peachy-orange and pink gradient. 

TPU overlays reinforce the heel of the shoe, and an asymmetrical Torsion System contributes to overall support on the court. The shoe’s semi-translucent outsole features highly tuned herringbone traction patterns strategically placed only where it counts. The balance of the outsole exposes the foam midsole.
