Peter Moore's original design still stands true here, with the standard overlays cut into their usual positions. They're a mix of mismatched black and gray tones, creating a moody palette. Anthracite suede lines the toe, side panels, ankle and heel, while a smoother black suede covers the toe box, forefoot, and collar.
A Sail tongue keeps this shoe from looking too dark and foreboding. It's accented by bright orange laces — a color that's repeated on the insole Jumpman motif. On the tongue itself, you'll find a pretty standard embroidered black Jumpman instead.
What also makes the shoe stand out is the Sky J Olive Swoosh across the side. It's stitched haphazardly into place with blocky white and orange threading, giving off a hand-sewn appearance. These connect at the heel, where, on the toddler and preschool kids' shoes, there's a black heel tab. The grade school kid shoes skip that for a more adult look.
All three shoes also include the original Jordan Wings logo on the heel in orange. Other similar features are the white midsole and olive rubber outsole.
All in all, we love the rugged look of this former basketball shoe turned casual kick, and your kid will too. Have them pair it with jeans and a comfy T-shirt so they'll look as cool as the Black Cat.
Make your kids' holiday better than ever when you snag them the Air Jordan 1 Mid SE Craft in Anthracite, Sky J Olive and black. It's hitting stores on December 2 in grade school, toddler and preschool kids' sizes, online and at your local Hibbett | City Gear.
