The year 2024 marks the 35th anniversary of Tinker Hatfield’s Air Jordan 4 silhouette. In 2006, the brand launched its “Thunder” series with a black and Tour Yellow shoe. The second installment of “Thunder” dropped in 2022 — a “Red Thunder” color scheme. Like its predecessors, the “White Thunder” edition offers a striking study in contrasts between light and dark, black and white.
A low-nap black suede upper gives this new shoe a modern, luxe look right from the start. Black Wings, tongue, laces and outsole also add to the crispness of this sneaker package.
The magic of the “White Thunder” AJ4 Retro is in the white polyurethane midsole, lacing eyestays and white underlay of black quarter-panel netting. These elements, along with white branding, offer a crispness that creates a lightning strike of visual interest.
For more than three decades, the Air Jordan 4s have served as a signature model in the pantheon of Jumpman greatness. Premium materials — including a blend of leathers, Nike Air technology and solid rubber composing the outsole — give this shoe durability for even the smallest fans, while making it comfortable and versatile enough for all-day, everyday wear.
