Jordan Brand isn't slowing down with its 35th anniversary celebrations of the legendary Air Jordan 5 in 2025. The latest colorway to hit the shelves is the Air Jordan 5 "Luminous Green," dropping August 30. Expect a strong similarity to the popular Air Jordan 5 Retro Sail colorway, at least in terms of a sail leather upper. But His Airness likes to keep things fresh, and the sail and anthracite women's exclusive is set to be a true standout, world's apart from the preceding Air Jordan 5 Retro SE Sail.

Design and Materials of the Air Jordan 5 Retro Luminous Green

Sneakerheads will recall last year's Air Jordan 5 Retro SE Sail release, a colorway that got positive attention for style. First looks suggest the Air Jordan 5 Retro "Luminous Green" will also be highly coveted. A sail leather upper gets glow-style accents on the padded tongue and collar lining. The upper is further elevated by an embroidered 23 on the heel in the same highlight color. Finally, the famous shark teeth on the midsole (a defining feature of Jordan 5s) get an anthracite green hit. 

Unlike the 2024 Jordan 5 Retro SE Sail release, this sail and luminous green AJ 5 is dropping exclusively in women's sizes.
