Dropping in men's sizes, this bold mismatched pairing illustrates Nike's commitment to keeping the Ja x Swoosh partnership ranked high as one of the most exciting signature player collabs in the sneakersphere.

Memphis Meets Mismatch in This Ja 3 Drop

This mismatched Ja 3 drop brings together a right shoe in shades of orange/yellow with a left shoe in light and dark blue. The inspiration is Ja's one-of-a-kind, "1 of 1" mindset and the famous Memphis hustle, as well as nodding to the hometown Grizzlies' team colors.

We know the Ja 3 is dropping some audacious sneakers, thanks in part to Ja's social media leaks earlier this year. The mismatched Ja 3 "Channel 12" fits right in alongside bold colorways like the startling pink/violet "Price of Admission" and the hotly anticipated glow-in-the-dark Halloween release expected in October.

Head-turning colorways and a sleek silhouette give the Ja 3 plenty of style, but this is a sports shoe above all else. After all, it was designed to support and elevate the game of one of the NBA's biggest stars. 

The big story at the first Ja 3 release date was the news that this was a from-scratch redesign. The heel-to-toe overhaul gave the Ja 3 full-length ZoomX cushioning, a redesigned traction pattern based on Ja's logo for a super grippy outsole and a bold upper with Grizzly bear slashes and a tilted "J"-angled Swoosh. In fact, if you think you see "JA" spelled out by the angled Swoosh and the shape of the adjacent texturing on the upper, you are correct! That was absolutely deliberate.

The unique Swoosh placement also underscores the relationship between Ja Morant and the House of Swoosh. He is Nike Basketball's first Gen Z signature player, and the partnership reflects an intent to rethink the nature of signature shoe collabs for a new generation.
