The Jordan 14 Retro "Laney" drops in men's sizes May 27 at Hibbett | City Gear.

The Air Jordan 14 isn't a shoe that sees a lot of releases, but that just makes every drop that much more special. Case in point, the most recent colorway that's slated to hit stores soon.

The Jordan 14 Retro "Laney" is one of the OG colorways from the 1999 release. The only difference here? This version is a mid, while the original was a low top. Either way, this Varsity Royal, Varsity Maize, white and black shoe is a must-have for your collection. Grab it in men's sizes on May 27.

Blue nubuck wraps around the heel and profile of this shoe, creating a kick that looks foreign without any side panel adornments. There is a white and black Jumpman emblem at the lateral ankle, however.

The toe and vamp are all black, with a suede overlay and matching black laces. A small yellow Jumpman graces the bottom of the laces. The tongue is also black and absent of branding except for a yellow tab reading "Jordan" attached to the top.

The collar is lined with black, matching the black insoles that have a white Jumpman. Also black is the heel overlay, which has big and bold white "23" and Jumpman branding.

The white midsole has an interesting shape, with wings reaching up at the toe. Beneath it is a black outsole with a golden XIV emblem at the forefoot and a golden Jumpman at the midfoot.

Wearing these as basketball shoes probably won't get you far on the court today, so we recommend them with casual gear instead. Try a pair of black crew socks and yellow or blue shorts for a matching look, or just go street-ready with jeans and a hoodie.

The AJ 14 was the very last shoe MJ ever wore in a Bulls jersey, so it's got a special place in His Airness' hall of fame.
