Do you remember when Michael Jordan played for the Washington Wizards for two seasons after his second retirement? Many people gloss over this part of His Airness' career, but don't sleep on it too much. While MJ didn't win any championships during this brief stint, he did drop a sick version of the AJ 3 that's making its way back into stores this April.
The Air Jordan 3 "Wizards" pays tribute to the Black Cat's time in DC. Its shades of True Blue, Metallic Copper, Cement Grey and white are directly inspired by the Wizards' team uniform. Walk in the basketball shoe MJ himself wore on the court during his comeback season when you grab these in men's, grade school kids', preschool kids' and toddler kids' sizes on April 29.
A white leather upper covers most of the shoe, though there is light and dark gray elephant print along the tip, mudguards, eyestays, quarter and heel. There's also a blue heel guard sitting below the elephant print for a little extra color.
