The Jordan Luka 2 "Space Hunter" hit stores on July 11, and here's your second chance to grab these sneakers.
Since launching in September 2022, Luka Doncic's first signature line with Jordan Brand has been huge. The Dallas Mavericks guard has been teasing us with new colorways ever since — but it wasn't until April that he teased the first variant of the new Jordan Luka 2.
Originally debuted in a matchup with the Sacramento Kings, the Jordan Luka 2 "Space Hunter" looks fit for a flight out of this world with a color scheme of black, Glow, Grand Purple, Aurora Green and Pink Blast. It launches into stores — and potentially your closet — on July 11 in men's and grade school kids' sizes.
At first glance, this shoe almost looks like it was made to match the black and navy colors of the Mavs uniform. But when you look closer, you'll see the accent color is actually purple. The nearly all-black base is covered with a mix of nubuck and mesh overlays. These are trimmed with deep purple threading that lines the side panel and crosses the heel.
Speaking of the heel, both that and the collar are outfitted in a satiny purple fit for a king. Beneath that, you'll see a black heel overlay with light aqua text reading "Non Desistas" on the left shoe and "Non Exieris 77" on the right. It translates to "never give up, never surrender" — Luka's personal motto.
Glow-in-the-dark details across the shoe add to the space theme, like the white speckles in the black laces and the pale yellow Luka branding on the tongue. Also on the tongue is a small black tab featuring a red Jumpman — an ode to where it all began. Don't forget the small "II" Roman numerals on the lace tiedown as well.
What really makes this shoe feel like it's just landed from Mars is the speckled midsole that reaches way up on the lateral side. It's adorned with a light blue Jumpman, while the medial side features a yellow Jumpman. Beneath this is a standard gummy gray outsole with an aqua Jumpman embedded in the heel.
Complete your rotation around the sun by pairing these basketball kicks with black shorts and a black tank. You'll look like a space creature ready to complete your basketball dominance on Earth.
