Do you think designer Peter Moore ever imagined his 1985 shoe would be remixed into a kick based on Zen philosophy? This shoe's leather upper is a soft blue tone, much like a blue sky or the calm waters of a koi pond. The typical overlays around the toe, eyestays, heel, and ankle are soft pink suede with a pattern that looks like raked sand — just like you might see in a Zen garden.
Additional tan overlays include a strap for the first two lace holes as well as the typical side panel Swoosh. There's also a mauve ankle leather overlay. It includes the original Air Jordan Wings logo on the lateral side and a series of yoga asanas on the medial side, including side angle pose, sugarcane pose, and extended hand-to-big-toe pose.
The tongue includes an off-white branding patch with blue embroidery. The left shoe reads "zen" both vertically and horizontally, while the right shoe has the Japanese character for the word "zen."
The shoe is stitched to a Sail midsole, and under this is a blue and white marbled rubber outsole.
