Nike Air Max 1 '87 “Fuchsia Dream” Launching 07/27 Colorway: NEUTRAL GREY/FUCHSIA DREAM/WHITE Style: Women's Shoe

Release Date: July 27, 2023

Jul 7, 2023

The Nike Air Max 1 '87 "Fuschia Dream" women's shoe drops July 27 at Hibbett | City Gear.

Women are no strangers to pink Nike releases. It looks like the brand is yet again revisiting an old style in a more feminine color scheme.

The Nike Air Max 1 "Fuchsia Dream" mixes together Neutral Gray, white, black and the titular Fuchsia Dream to create a shoe that screams girl power. It hits stores on July 27 in women's sizes.

This Tinker Hatfield design is definitely reminiscent of the 2018 Air Max 1 “Psychic Pink." The main difference? The pink tones in this shoe are slightly darker.

A white base offers a neutral palette to let the other colored overlays play. You'll see bright pink suede overlays along the mudguards at the front, side and back of the shoe. Above these across the side panels and heel is a light gray suede overlay.

There's more pink detailing on the upper eyelets, Nike branding on the tongue and heel and Swoosh on the side panel. Also pretty in pink is the toe of the outsole.

The rest of the shoe follows a pretty similar recipe to other Air Max 1 drops. There are white laces that attach into gray eyestays, a white collar and ankle padding and a chunky white midsole that wraps around the shoe. Naturally, you'll see the peek-a-boo Air unit in the heel — the very first of its kind. The rest of the rubber outsole is a mix of black and white.

Sneaker design has come a long way since 1987, so you're better off using these casual kicks to show off your style than your running form. Avoid the pink-on-pink style by instead wearing these with faded denim jeans and the crop top of your choice.

While pink women's shoes are a bit cliche at this point, we still like the look of the Nike Air Max 1 "Fuchsia Dream." Fill the gap in your closet when these drop in women's sizes on July 27, online and at your local Hibbett | City Gear.

If these shoes sold out before you could get your hands on a pair, don't let it happen again. The key to being early to every release is to follow our sneaker launch calendar.
