The Nike Air Max 97 "Picante Red" men's shoe drops July 22 at Hibbett | City Gear.
You know that trending TikTok sound: “Why is it spicy?” The latest drop from the Nike Air Max line is kinda like that. A little bit spicy and a whole lotta style contained in one dynamic casual shoe package.
Launching July 22, the Nike Air Max 97 takes on an appropriately named “Picante Red” colorway. The men’s sneakers feature the spicy red tone, along with Guava Ice and white.
Like its predecessors, this rendition of the Air Max 97 begins with a mesh base in white and quickly moves into undulating layers of Guava Ice leather and a large swath of Picante Red. A white midsole houses the visible red Air Max unit that runs the length of the shoe, and small embroidered Swooshes play along the shoe’s sides.
The titular tone forms the tongue emblem as well, with white heel and tongue tabs making for an easy on-off, easy-off men’s Nike shoe. Air Max branding appears on the heel tab, and 3M accents play along the upper for reflective qualities even in low light. The white sockliner gives way to a Guava Ice insole featuring a red Swoosh. The white rubber outsole offers an effective mixture of traction patterns, ranging from Xes and rectangles to squares and geometric shapes for great grip on any surface.
