The white leather upper here features perforations all throughout the shoe — hopefully keeping you cool as you spice up the street scene. But what's immediately more noticeable is the giant "AIR" motif plastered across the entire side of each shoe.
On the medial side of the right shoe and the lateral side of the left shoe, "AIR" starts at the mudguard and goes toward the heel. It's the reverse on the lateral right shoe and medial left shoe, with "AIR" starting at the heel and finishing at the toe.
Each letter is painted in Industrial Blue with a burnished look at the edges, fading slightly to a darker gray. It's outlined in black trim that's stitched in place with double thread.
At the heel, the "A" and "R" wrap around to connect in one large overlay. In the middle of this overlay is an embedded black Nike Swoosh.
At the toe, you'll see a smaller embroidered blue Swoosh with black outlining. Black pull-cord laces on top of a white mesh tongue let you tighten your fit to your heart's content. A black and white polka-dotted tongue tab and heel tab make sliding the shoe on your feet a lot easier.
The bulky light gray midsole follows the silhouette of the "AIR" shape, increasing in size at the wheel. Under that, you'll see the Air units through the outsole. On the bottom of the shoe is one more large black Swoosh across the forefoot and midfoot, as well as a smaller blue Swoosh with Air branding at the heel.
Wearing this old basketball shoe these days is all about showing off your style. Kick it with burnished-looking denim and a black hoodie for a collected yet casual look.
