The Nike Ja 1 "Hunger" men's shoe drops September 8 at Hibbett | City Gear.
Ja Morant may be the new kid on the block when it comes to sneakers, but he’s already packing a punch with his 2023 lineup of Nike Basketball shoes.
The latest colorway from the Nike Ja 1 lineup comes in a cheerful “Hunger” colorway. Outfitted in Game Royal, University Red, Photo Blue, Bright Crimson and black, the men’s sneakers drop at Hibbett | City Gear on September 8.
The young, scrappy and hungry 24-year-old NBA point guard is light on his feet and exceptionally quick on the court. This sneaker helps fulfill Morant’s playing demands, thanks to some cutting-edge underfoot tech and serious style.
The mismatched sneakers provide an eye-catching addition anywhere you go — University Red on the left, Game Royal on the right. The shoe’s upper mixes tumbled leather and a looser mesh weave for a balanced take on structure and breathability. The red shoe features blue accents, such as a Photon Blue tongue tag with a golden logo, Game Royal heel emblem and Photon Blue outsole. The blue shoe has a red outsole, tongue tag and heel badge.
Both sneakers feature connecting black TPU Swooshes on either side of the shoe. Black No. 12s appear on the heels, along with Morant’s signature elegantly scrawled on the right lateral portion.
Speckled with orange, the black midsole contains a forefoot Zoom Air unit and gives way to colorful outsoles, both of which extend up at the heel — one shoe saying “Ja,” the other “Morant” with radiating lines; both shoes also read “Midnight Series.” The underside of both tongues also include Morant’s signature, along with his name in one and his number in the other.
