The upper fades into a sunrise-like gradient, moving from white down to University Gold toward the bottom of the foot. Wavy thermoplastic overlays in an orange and gold gradient contribute to the Air Max Plus-like look of the sneaker while adding stability and forming the eyestays.
Black Swooshes adorn the sides, outlined in Safety Orange, with black also running along the blue TPU shank plate. This horizontal feature is visible along the outer edges of the shoe and provides enhanced stabilization on and off the court. A Cushlon midsole — which hearkens back to the contoured comfort to Nike’s running shoe, the Air Talaria — buoys the responsiveness of KD 17, in tandem with forefoot Zoom Air cushioning.
Leather composes the back half of the upper, complete with breathable perforations resting beneath the tail of the Swooshes. A University Gold heel patch features the elegant script of Kevin Durant’s signature, with a round “Easy” emblem at the bottom of the heel.
A white sockliner adds plushness, with a white insole featuring KD’s logo in blue. A matching holographic logo on the tongue adds a touch of ’90s nostalgia to this package. And, finally, an icy blue translucent outsole with relief-map-like traction patterns adds sticky grip when it counts.
Speed and comfort embody the Nike KD 17 “Sunrise” men’s shoes. These court-stable kicks launch at Hibbett May 17 via in-app raffle. Enter today for your chance to snag a pair!
