You may not know the name Scoot Henderson yet, but you will. He was one of the youngest players to ever sign with the NBA G League Ignite, when he was still a high school junior at Carlton J. Kell High School. The two-year, $1 million deal is up this year, and Scoot is projected to be a top-three pick in the 2023 NBA Draft.
But perhaps even more noteworthy is Scoot's deal with PUMA. At the age of 18, he signed a multi-year endorsement deal reportedly worth seven figures annually — the highest amount of any non-draft-eligible player. Talk about a big shot!
Finally, we're about to see the fruits of that partnership. The Puma All-Pro Nitro "Scoot Henderson" is the duo's first release together, and it's meant to be a tribute to the Marietta Diner in Scoot's hometown. With a mix of red, blue and checkerboard coloring, it'll have you racing to stores on June 22 to grab it in men's sizes.
