Big things are happening in Steph Curry’s world with Under Armour recently announcing the launch of the Curry Brand. While sneakers are nothing new for the Golden State Warriors player, Curry will also get a signature standalone imprint. Will the Curry brand be as enduring as the Jordan brand? Time will tell.
So far, Under Armour has been tight-lipped about this sneaker’s features. What we do know is that the shoe’s upper will feature layers of loosely woven mesh with a thin, sock-like entry for more flexibility. The toebox of the Curry 8 will feature a tighter weave for durability. Sleek, synthetic leather overlays outline the sneaker’s lateral side for a flash of color and durability, edged with a hem-like, lock-stitched seam.
Steph’s signature stands out on the shoe’s tongue tab. “Curry” runs along the heel tab, meeting a five-star logo at the heel badge. A refreshed logo plays along the lateral-side overlay.
Under Armour’s Micro G cushioning keeps feet primed for those explosive moves, while expanded HOVR technology offers superior energy return. The shoe’s rubber outsole mixes it up with radiating patterns for even more precise control.
