The drop is a part of Nike's new "Molten Metal" pack—a collection of shoes (including the Air Force 1 and Air Max 90) that are meant to be designed with environmental friendliness in mind. In particular, this shoe is a part of the Next Nature initiative, meaning it's made with at least partially recycled materials.
The standard leather upper here is a creamy Sail. The overlays around the toe box, eyestays and ankle are a pleasant light pastel green, while the side panel Swoosh is in Light Silver.
Breathable perforations in the toe box keep you cool even during intense moments, while the mesh tongue offers a bit of flexibility and comfort. On the tongue is upside-down Nike branding. This seems like a mistake until you notice the heel branding, which is also printed backward.
What really makes this sneaker stand out are the silver lace charms. They're meant to resemble molten metal droplets, meaning they're a bit abstract. At the bottom of the laces is a more standard silver Nike lace dubrae.
Inside the shoe, the pale green insole features a black Nike Pinwheel—Nike's symbol for sustainability. Like nearly all Dunk Lows, the midsole is a creamy white that's stitched to the upper with visible thread. The Nike Grind Vapor Green rubber outsole is made of reused materials but still offers the same traction you know and love.
The Nike Dunk Low "Next Nature Sea Glass" looks calm, cool and collected—just like you will when wearing them. These casual kicks drop in women's sizes on April 15.
