Booker wanted his new shoe to be timeless while combining lifestyle and performance, and the "Haven" colorway seems to do just that. The monochromatic black will blend seamlessly into your wardrobe whether you're on the court or on the town.
The inspiration behind this shoe? Booker's Cane Corso, Haven. The black suede upper represents his dog's black fur, while the dark brown Swoosh running across the side panel is the same color as his eyes. For an extra pop, this Swoosh is outlined in Metallic Red Bronze thread that also matches the top ankle eyelet.
For an even more on-the-nose hit, both the collar and eyestay panel are lined with black fur.
There's "Book" branding on the tongue with a small Swoosh, along with a Swoosh and barcode on the black insoles. The heel tab also reads "Chapter One" on one side and "96" on the other—the year Booker was born.
The black midsole contains a CushIon 2.0 foam and TPU sidewall for additional support. Naturally, there's a top-loaded Nike Zoom air bag in the heel for added boost on your dunks. All of this sits atop a translucent navy rubber outsole.
You'll notice this shoe bears a resemblance to classic Nike styles like the Air Force 1, Blazer, and Air Jordan 1—that's because these are Booker's favorite and he wanted to mimic their timeless design.
