Spring is a refreshing time of year. Flowers bloom anew, the days grow longer and your wardrobe gets a little lighter with short sleeve shirts, tank tops, shorts and spring and summer shoes. Once you’ve said goodbye to your winter boots until next season, bringing out your favorite pair of white-white sneakers might seem like the obvious next step.
Sure, tried and true white kicks are great to have in your sneaker rotation because of their versatility. But why limit your spring sneaker assortment to a single color? This season, we’re bringing a little color to your closets with these colorful, cheery and stylish sneakers that we just can’t get enough of!
Tie-dye has taken social media by storm and firmly planted itself at the forefront of our spring and summer style forecast. Plenty of sandals and slides incorporate groovy tie-dye prints, but tie-dye sneakers are a bit rarer. This spring, we’re loving Vans’ Active Doheny Psychedelic women’s shoe. These sneakers are low cut and compact, making them perfect for pairing with joggers or denim shorts. The Active Doheny Psychedelic’s upper is dressed in a pastel tie-dye canvas that incorporates orange, yellow, green and blue tones.
Not down with tie-dye, but still feel like wearing the rainbow? The Vans Active Doheny Iridescent “Black/Multi” Women’s Shoe features a checkerboard of shimmering blues, pinks, greens, and yellows.
Hoops-inspired vibes, big, bold, in-your-face colors and Nike’s 90s-era Air bubble? The Air Jordan MA2, with its chunky yet clean aesthetic, Air Max 200 cushioning system, and vibrant color scheme, manages to pack ALL that (and a bag of chips) into a single shoe.
White, black and neons give these shoes all the flair of an old-school Trapper Keeper. (And if you know what a Trapper Keeper is, these shoes are definitely for you.)
The AJ MA2 not really your style? Shop the Nike Air Max Plus instead. These sneakers are still 100% 90s and 100% spring wardrobe-approved.
Reebok has the rose-colored kicks trend on lock with their White and Metallic Pink Reebok Club C 87 tennis shoes and Pink and Grey Club C Double tennis shoes.
The former features a minimalist design with a touch of flash thanks to its supple leather upper, embossed suede heel tab and glitzy iridescent rose gold accents. The latter reimagines the classic Club C silhouette swapping the traditional midsole with an amplified double-stacked midsole and a master mash-up of upper materials that blend luxe suede, debossed nubuck, shiny patent leather and full-grain leather in peach, coral, rose and pastel pink tones accented by hits of mint green.
Nike’s got your closet covered this spring with the brand’s collection of green sneakers. Cop your kids a pair (or two) of Nike’s Air Vapormax Flyknit 3s in black and Ghost Green, or the AM 270 Modern Air in black, Photo Blue and lime green. And for yourself, lace up a pair of Nike LeBron Witness 5s in Lime Glow and Bright Mango.
For a spring sneaker that’s still colorful but more subtly so, we recommend the Nike Blazer Low in forest green or the Nike Blazer Mid in Pine Green.
You don’t have to be a gamer to appreciate this adidas x Ninja Nite Jogger collaboration. Designed in partnership with record-setting gamer Tyler “Ninja” Blevins, the adidas x Ninja “Tactile Orange” Nite Jogger emulates an aesthetic akin to that of a 1980s video game and adidas’ first all-reflective runner, the OG Nite Jogger, which made its sneakersphere debut in the 80s.
While the look of these shoes is seriously retro, they are all future-focused when it comes to their tech. Most notably, these Tactile Orange, blue and yellow kicks employ the brands’ trademark Boost midsole.
The adidas Originals Superstar also comes in a spring and summer-ready orange and white palette if you’re looking for a sneaker that’s a little more versatile.
Puma’s “Berry Glitch” Future Rider and RS-Curve sneakers are juicy spring styles that we’re dubbing must-haves this season. Both models feature raspberry pink, blueberry hues, vine-ripe green and black colorblocking, premium construction materials and heritage tech like Puma’s signature “RS” running system.
Puma’s spring lineup also features the Puma Suede XXI in a delicious strawberry red and cream colorway.
Don’t pick one bold color to show off this summer, wear them all with one of the season’s most colorful New Balance 327s! One of our favorites is the NB 327 Grey/Blue/Green colorway that calls to mind Tetris or a Rubix Cube with its blue, green, red, yellow and orange coloring.
We are also vibing with the pastel power of the New Balance 327 Black/Multi women’s shoe dressed in lime green, powder blue, soft pink and bright purple.
