Sneakers Release – New Balance 550 “White/Multicolor” Men’s Shoe Launching 5/22

New Balance and Aimé Leon Dore have been doing great things since the two companies started teaming up in 2019. And this month, we get to treat our feet to the fruits of their labor once again!

New Balance is dropping a new colorway in one of its most beloved models – a multicolored take on the classic New Balance 550. The shoe hits Hibbett | City Gear in-store and virtual shelves in men’s sizes on May 22.

The multicolored New Balance 550 looks straight out of the ’80s — perhaps a not-so-subtle throwback to the OG shoe’s release year of 1989. A mostly-white leather upper is accented with numerous colorful touches throughout. The signature “N” logo glows in a bright red that’s also seen along the back. Forest green lines the heel tab and toe of the outsole.

Bright golden yellow stands out on the outsole’s heel, the “NB” branding on the heel and the “550” along the toe box. To top it all off, a navy overlay rounds out the heel and tongue trimming.

If you’re using these kicks in your next game, you’ll appreciate the adjustable lace closure for a snug fit. The rubber outsole also provides the traction you need to cut quickly on the court. Inside the shoe, an ABZORB midsole provides impact protection with every stride. The compression resistance and cushioning make this the perfect shoe for taking a quick run after hanging with your pals.

New Balance recently tapped Aimé Leon Dore founder Teddy Santis to be the creative director of its Made in the USA collection. The 550 is a collaboration with Aimé Leon Dore.
