PUMA is going back to the Future as the brand continues to roll out its lineup of retro-inspired running sneakers. This February 22, pick up a pair of PUMA Future Riders in women’s sizes or a pair PUMA Riders for kids’ in the “Play On” colorway, dropping in toddler, preschool and grade school kids’ sizes.

The new Future Riders take their cues from the PUMA Fast Runners of the 1980s – originally designed for casual runners – and give them a modern update with new, performance-enhancing materials and cutting-edge technology for runners of all ages.

As part of PUMA’s revival of its OG sneaker lines, the reimagined Future Riders come in a variety of vibrant colors. This running sneaker effortlessly exudes a cheerful street style. Layers of gridded nylon combine in chunks of color blocking on the shoes’ uppers, adorned with both suede and leather overlays. One of those leather overlays includes the iconic PUMA Formstrip.

For a modern comfortable underfoot, the Future Rider employs a Rider Foam injection-molded EVA midsole (IMEVA). The process of creating this midsole involves injecting foam into a thinner mold to compress the material. The resulting midsole is ultra-durable and resilient offering lightweight energy return and cushioning. Other comfort features include a foam-padded tongue and full lace closure.

The kids’ and women’s running shoe rounds out its design with a traditional rubber outsole. Slimmer than the OG model for optimal traction and grip, the outsole design contributes to the sneaker’s clean, performance-driven aesthetic.
