The latest Curry 7 colorway honors the Year of the Rat and its promises of good fortune.

Available on January 10, the men’s “Chinese New Year” Curry 7 basketball shoe incorporates a serene blend of grey, Midnight Turquoise, gold and white. Delicate painted peonies swath the shoe’s back panel, inspired by traditional guóhuà style shui-mo ink and wash painting.

These soft florals also represent wealth and good fortune in Chinese culture.

Under Armour shoe designer Leon Gu crafted the seventh generation of Curry basketball shoes for players looking for serious performance, precision control and unparalleled agility – without sacrificing style.

Breathable layers of synthetic leather, mesh and TPU skin in grey and Midnight Turquoise combine for foot-hugging stability. The shoe’s collar gets a foam-lined treatment for a sock-like fit and game-long comfort, and a series of perforations strategically punctuate the shoe’s upper to enhance breathability.
