Sneakers Release – Air Jordan Retro 13 “Reverse He Got Game” Black/Gym Red/White Basketball Shoe

Jan 9, 2020

You got game? Take it up a notch with the latest Air Jordan 13 Retro! The black, Gym Red and white “Reverse He Got Game” colorway in men’s, grade school kids’, preschool kids’ and toddler kids’ sizes drop online and in stores January 11.

Michael Jordan may have tested the popularity potential of the OG Jordan 13 when it released in 1997, but director Spike Lee made the sneaker an instant classic after featuring it in his 1998 film “He Got Game.”

Nike legend Tinker Hatfield designed the Jordan 13 to emulate His Airness’ cat-like reflexes and stealthy approach on the court. The basketball sneaker‘s outsole resembles a panther’s paw, a nod to Jordan’s “Black Cat” persona. Hatfield also included a holographic cat eye, which conceals a subtle number 23, on the shoe’s heel counter, as well as a basketball and the Jumpman logo.

The Jordan 13’s first colorway featured a predominately white upper with black and red accents. The “Reverse He Got Game” colorway flips the color blocking so that black dominates the sneaker’s supple tumbled leather upper and outsole pods, which pop against the clean white backdrop of the midsole.

The signature hologram stands out against the white, too, while the Jumpman and Jordan branding each get a red-stitched treatment. Double-lined stitching and zonal traction patterns in black complete the aesthetic.

Find the Jordan 13 Retro “Reverse He Got Game” black, Gym Red, white colorway at your local Hibbett or City Gear location and online at Hibbett.com January 11.
