Girls' Nike Dunks bring the retro basketball design to toddlers', preschool and grade school sizes. They are lifestyle sneakers for everyday wear. The choices that matter most are the size group, the closure (elastic or classic laces) and the upper material, and more girls' styles sit in girls' Nike sneakers. For the younger sizes, Nike says its baby, toddler and preschool Dunk Low is reimagined for tiny feet, with more room in the toe and extra cushion under foot.
For black and white Dunks, see girls' Panda Dunks, and for another Nike shape, girls' Nike Air Force 1.
Materials change with the version and size group. Synthetic leather forms the upper on many toddler, preschool and grade school pairs, with perforations on the toes for breathability and, on several baby pairs, on the sides too. Real and synthetic leather appears on other pairs in all three groups and on the LV8, a combination Nike calls durable and classic in feel. The grade school Yeti pair has a faux-fur upper.
Nike lists a full-length rubber outsole on the kids' Dunk Low pairs it details, with a traction pattern modeled on the original and traction it calls durable. Several pairs, such as the Tattoo toddler and preschool pairs, list a cupsole construction.
Soft and bright pinks lead, from Pink Rise and Pink Foam to Hyper Pink, with bolder reds and magentas such as Tattoo and Sweet Beet. Cooler looks run from linen and sail to Blue Beyond. Black/White and White/Viotech keep things neutral, and a shimmer finish adds shine. The SE comes in Pink Blast with black and in white with navy, the grade school LV8 in sail and light bone, and the grade school Yeti edition in Celestine Blue with Green Abyss, sold with a stuffed monster keychain.

Measure her foot at its longest point first. Grade School is a shoe-size label, not an age: on the Hibbett size chart it covers US 3.5 to 7, alongside Toddler (US 1-10) and Preschool (US 10.5-3). Sizing can vary from one model to the next, so check the Hibbett size chart before you order. Then have her walk in the pair: the heel should stay put, the toes should have room to move, and on pairs with elastic laces the shoe should still feel snug once it is on.
The main change is the upper. A standard pair such as Pink Rise/Pink Foam/White is built with synthetic leather, while the toddler and preschool SE Pink Blast/Black uses leather that gets softer with wear and the grade school SE mixes real and synthetic leather.
Knock off loose dirt with a soft brush first, then wipe the upper using warm water mixed with a small amount of dish soap or mild detergent, and blot it. Let the pair air dry at room temperature instead of using the washer or dryer.
