The Big Change

What’s new in 2024? Well, for the first time since 2017, the All-Star Game format will return to its Eastern vs. Western matchup. They’re doing away with the All-Star Draft and getting rid of the Elam Ending. The OG format means the All-Star Game will have the traditional four 12-minute quarters.

Who Will Be There?

That’s a great question, and we’re waiting impatiently for the answer. Official rosters haven't been announced yet (voting closes Jan. 20), but some familiar faces are already leading the pack. Expect to see the same stable of All-Stars — LeBron, Giannis Antetokounmpo, Stephen Curry and Kevin Durant — along with some of the newer-comers making waves in the NBA, like LaMelo Ball, Jayson Tatum, Trae Young, Joel Embiid and Ja Morant. In the meantime, check out some of our favorite NBA All-Star moments throughout the history of the game.
