When Anthony Edwards gets his own sneaker collab, the world takes notice. And while he teased it last fall, the adidas AE 1 didn’t officially drop until 2024 was well underway. 

Packed with technology and offering a streamlined silhouette, the adidas AE1 “Pre-Loved Purple” drops at Hibbett on October 5. Enter the sneaker raffle now for your chance to score a pair of the grade school or men’s basketball shoes from the Three Stripes.

The adidas AE 1 does just that, with its powerful combo of proprietary LIGHTSTRIKE and Boost cushioning, its ultra light weight, its full-length traction pattern and its foot-stabilizing X-plate. 

“Pre-Loved Purple” brings a black textile upper with a swath of lavender TPU coating the toebox. The sculptural, hexagonal overlay that swoops along the sides comes in a pink-purple, suggesting a warm, pre-worn tone that introduces comfort into this striking sculptural element, along with added breathability. This tone extends to the rubber outsole with its precisely tuned traction pattern. 

Black faux carbon fiber creates the ankle emblem, complete with pink-purple Three Stripes branding. The AE logo also appears in embroidered pink on the tongue. A socklike construction of the upper makes the sneaker extremely wearable, with a plush inner lining to help boost its comfort.
