This Peter Moore design looks similar to its 1985 OG counterpart, just with a fresh wave of color. A white leather base acts as the cream in this latte, keeping things grounded. You'll notice perforation holes on the toe. Like the vents on the lid of your coffee cup let your drink cool down, these holes work to cool down overheating feet.
Black leather overlays surround the toe box and cover the eyestays, collar, and side panel Swooshes. These overlays pair well with the black laces and black Nike Air branding on the white tongue.
The Legend Medium Brown overlays across the ankle and heel turn this black coffee into a decadent latte. This is more of a suede leather rather than the tumbled leather on the rest of the shoe. Metaphorically acting as foam art is the original Air Jordan Wings logo stamped in black on the milky brown lateral ankle.
This high-ankled kick (which Michael Jordan wore in a different colorway during his sophomore season with the Chicago Bulls) sits atop a Sail midsole that cuts cleanly around the shoe. Under it is a rubber outsole in matching Legend Medium Brown with the usual pivot circle traction pattern.
One special detail here is the insole, which is a creamy mix of marbled brown and white that looks like a stirred latte. Printed on the right shoe is "Nike Air," while the left shoe has the number "23."
Overall, this shoe gives off some of the same vibes as 2020's Jordan 1 Retro High OG “Dark Mocha”, but unlike that shoe, this one will be available for women.
